The goal of the Center for Training, Technology & Incubation Extended University is to attract students coming from a diverse population in terms of age, flexible schedules ,and future orientation.
The building is located at the fringes of the University campus along Temple Avenue, a major urban thoroughfare connecting the cities of Covina and Pomona.
The complex design addresses several distinct uses, most of them acting as liaisons between academic and community activities.
The presence of a popular café and its connection with an adjacent public infrastructure are celebrations of a large community open space, designed as a central courtyard, where all the academic and community uses are conveyed and interacted.
