Casa Nardi
Year 2009 | Mazatlan, Mexico
Completed in 2009, this seasonal residence and family retreat was for Norberto and his family. Located in the heart of Mazatlán’s Historic Center, the home is perched on a dramatic 300-foot-high cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, offering breathtaking 180-degree views of one of Mexico’s most iconic coastal landscapes.
The design of the property emphasizes a seamless integration with its surroundings, celebrating the panoramic vistas while maximizing functionality and comfort. The centerpiece of the upper level is a striking 70-foot-long infinity pool, strategically positioned to frame the views of the ocean and horizon. This pool becomes the focal point of the residence, flanked by the two-story structure that provides a harmonious balance between indoor and outdoor living.

The lower level of the home houses practical service areas and features a semi-covered balcony that extends outward, creating a serene vantage point over the oceanfront promenade, or malecón. This space serves as a tranquil retreat where residents can enjoy the ever-changing scenery of the Pacific while being immersed in the vibrant cultural context of Mazatlán’s History.
The architecture of the home reflects a careful consideration of its cliffside location, utilizing materials and design elements that blend with the natural landscape while ensuring durability against coastal conditions. This project embodies the intersection of personal sanctuary and celebration of place, making it a standout feature of the Mazatlán coastline.
